We are equipped in office to provide many procedures for sick children, many times eliminating the need to send our children to Emergency Departments. At APA, we routinely perform:
- incision and drainage of abscesses (boils/risens)
- laceration repair (stitches, staples and topical skin adhesives) along with their removal
- nebulized breathing treatments for asthma attacks
- pulse oximetry
- antibiotic injections
- steroid injections
- foreign body removals (noses, ears, et cetera)
- urine catheterizations
- umbilical chemocautery
- burn care
- simple splinting
- tongue clipping
We do not pierce ears.
